Our solar power system: Sustainable electricity – for us and the grid

Our photovoltaic system has been operating successfully since last year. Not only does it supply our electric vehicles with clean electricity every day, but it also actively contributes to the regional electricity supply.

Our annual figures show a total generation of 88 megawatt hours (MWh).
Of this, around 41 MWh was fed into the public grid over the course of the year – mainly at weekends and on public holidays, when internal consumption was low.

The remaining 47 MWh was used directly on site for our own consumption, in particular for charging our electric and hybrid vehicles. This corresponds to a self-consumption share of around 53% of the total energy generated.

AGO is thus making a tangible contribution to the energy transition and to relieving the strain on the electricity grids, thereby saving approximately 56 tonnes of CO2.

“This investment pays off above all for the environment – and that was precisely our aim,” emphasises Managing Director Günther Hein.
