Waste Heat Symposium BW & Federal Waste Heat Conference 2026

Waste heat is far more than just a by-product of industrial processes – it represents a valuable source of energy that remains untapped in many places. How this potential can be tapped and utilised for a sustainable energy supply is the focus of the Waste Heat BW & Federal Waste Heat Conference 2026, which will take place on 17 June 2026 at the Haus der Wirtschaft in Stuttgart.

The event brings together experts from industry, local authorities, the energy sector and research, offering insights into current developments and practical examples on the topics of waste heat prevention, waste heat utilisation, wastewater heat and the use of waste heat from data centres.

Peter König, Project Manager at AGO Energie + Anlagen, will be speaking in Forum 6 from 14:00 to 15:30 on the topic of “Efficient waste heat utilisation with sorption heat pumps”. The focus is on innovative solutions that enable previously unused low-temperature waste heat to be utilised economically. Sorption heat pumps open up new possibilities for increasing energy efficiency in industrial and district heating applications whilst simultaneously reducing CO₂ emissions.

The heat transition will not succeed through new energy sources alone – it also begins with the intelligent use of existing energy.

We look forward to engaging in exciting discussions and professional exchanges with experts and participants in Stuttgart, says Günther Hein, Managing Director of AGO GmbH Energie + Anlagen.
