CHP Plant of the Month: January 2022

Innovative iCHP plant on the University of Bayreuth campus

The magazine Energie + Management has named the iCHP plant installed by AGO GmbH Energie + Anlagen on the University of Bayreuth campus as the CHP Plant of the Month for January 2022.

The iCHP plant consists of a CHP unit, two heat pumps, an electric boiler and two natural gas boilers, which are intelligently interconnected. The system supplies the University of Bayreuth with heating and cooling and achieves annual CO2 savings of approximately 5,000 tonnes.

The plant was designed and implemented by us in collaboration with Stadtwerke Bayreuth, with scientific support from the Institute of Energy Technology at the East Bavarian Technical University of Amberg-Weiden.
