Energy Supply Centre II (EVC), Dresden
A mere twelve months elapsed between the award of the contract to AGO and the commissioning of the new Energy Supply Centre II in Dresden. A record-breaking timeframe, considering that all tendering and installation planning for the €22 million project, as well as the extensive installation work itself, took place within this period.
Hot water heating system via natural gas-fired combined heat and power units and heat exchangers, heated by 10 bar saturated steam from gas engines and steam boilers.
Technical data:
- Max. permissible operating pressure: 16 bar
- Heating network: 32 °C and 54 °C
- 9 x gas engines, 2,560 kW each = 23.0 MW / hot water
- 3 x heat exchangers, 5,000 kW each = 15.0 MW / hot water
- Refrigeration for a chip factory
- Chilled water temperature 5 °C and 11 °C
- 5 turbo chillers, each 5,900 kW = 29.5 MW
- 3 double-effect absorbers, each 5,800 kW = 17.4 MW
- 2 single-effect absorbers, each 3,200 kW = 6.4 MW
- Heat recovery from the chilled water: 24.0 MW
- 14 cooling towers, each 6.5 MW = 91.0 MW
- Design: AGO
