University of Bayreuth: New Laboratory Building
A modern laboratory building with offices has been constructed on the University of Bayreuth campus.
The ventilation system, which ensures the supply and extraction of air in the laboratory rooms with a capacity of approximately 20,000 m³/h, is equipped with a highly efficient combined heat recovery system. In addition, a special exhaust air system with redundant fan control was installed for the gas and chemical cabinets to ensure maximum safety.
For stationary heating, a heating system was integrated which not only heats the rooms but also supplies the air handling unit (AHU) located on the roof. A cooling system was also installed to ensure precise climate control in the laboratory rooms.
Technical data:
- Air flow rate of AHU units: 20,000 m³/h
- Heater output: 135 kW
- Cooling capacity: 82 kW
- Recuperative heat recovery capacity: 125 kW
